The “guess the sports” tee from the flying mouse! It’s not exactly a football tee, but it looks amazing and has something about football in it… which is good enough for me. Read More.

Studs Up is a creation of Chris Toy, and features his football comic strips. It’s quite possibly the best football related website design, I give mad props to Fully Illustrated. The comic strips are hilarious, with very good humor and good illustration. Keep an eye on Chris Toy, and bookmark the site. It’s worth it. www.studs-up.com

Okay, so football may not be an entirely manly sport all the time. That’s why there’s sites like Kickette, which cover the lives of footballers, their hot wives and their money. I don’t really care about all that stuff honestly, but a lot of people do. This site is worth mentioning due to the nice design and good branding, an aspect that shows these women mean business. Kickette is: “Written by a small but perfectly formed crack team of female journalists, fashionistas and debauchery-chasing champagne swillers, Kickette is the number one authority on the web for all things fun, fluffy and footie-related.”
It’s videos like these that show the beauty of football. A bunch of old men with backpacks playing the beautiful game like they were 14 years old again. I wish my grandpa was that cool… seriously.

In the realm of football, there is one company that takes design seriously. That company is Nike, a constant innovator in the field of design. Their design efforts reach beyond product design, and touch into the fashion, web-presence and advertising. If you haven’t seen the Nike Soccer website (how could you not?), check it out and be expected to spend at least 30 minutes looking at all the cool stuff. They just need to make some cool soccer tees now. We’ll eagerly wait for that day to come. Nike Soccer
